Thank you for the many positive responses that were shared with Ofsted. The day was intense but as always everyone worked together as a team and the children were described by the HMI Inspector as being happy, courteous, open and polite. We look forward to sharing the final report with you.
At half term we will be saying goodbye to Mr Goodman who has worked in school since 2013. He initially worked in KS1 and has more recently supported teaching and learning in Reception where he has been instrumental in developing aspects of Forest School. We know Glynne will always have a special place in Mr Goodman’s heart and we wish him every success as he moves onto his next adventure.
Dates for Parents Evening are Tuesday 6th March 3:30pm – 6:00pm and Thursday 8th March 5:00 – 7:30. Appointments for Parents Evening can be made in the usual way via school interviews.co.uk and you will receive a notification when the times go live.
If your child is in Y1-Y6 can we remind you to look in your child’s planner at the ‘Banding Statements’ and the ‘Termly Review’ pages as this will give you further information about your child’s progress.
If your child is in Nursery or Reception you will soon be receiving your ‘2Simple Profile’ for the half term which will give you further information about your child’s progress.
Just a reminder that as we approach half term, can you please check your child’s hair for head lice. See https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/head-lice-and-nits/ for more information.
Congratulations to our Y3/Y4 Maths Champions who have got through to the final of the Dudley Schools Maths Championship. The final will take place sometime in June; good luck to the team!
We will be welcoming Scholastic Book Fair into school from 28th February – 6th March and during this time we will also celebrate World Book Day. We will not be asking children to dress up for World Book Day this year but we will be having a ‘share a story’ theme and hope to encourage everyone to share a story during World Book Day 2018.
