Glynne Out of School Holiday Club (GOSH) was a great success this Easter; the club ran for 4 days, providing childcare for Glynne children from nursery to Year 6. Each session had a planned activity ranging from a trip to Broadfield House, clay pottery, drama day and pizza making to St George‟s Day celebrations, face painting and their very own version of “GOSH has got Talent”; all culminating in Friday Fun Day when children enjoyed an indoor, full sized bouncy castle for the day. All being well, „GOSH‟ will run again during May half term; please contact School Club or look on the website for further details.

Children may now wear polo shirts and dresses for their summer uniform; can I respectfully remind parents that only sensible shoes or sandals may be worn in black, tan or white and with socks and also that Mohican style hair and closely shaved heads are not appropriate for school. Children are allowed to wear a watch and small plain stud earrings but no other jewellery and no nail varnish. Your support in maintaining a high standard of uniform is very much appreciated, thank you.

Week beginning 19th May is „Walk to School Week‟. Due to distance, not all children may be able to walk to school; however, parking your car a little further away from school and walking for 5 minutes will help to reduce the congestion around school and enable your child to be part of Walk to School Week.

A reminder that school is closed on Friday 2nd May for staff INSET and on Monday 5th May for May Day Bank Holiday.
Thank you as always for your continued support.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs S Cameron
